Rules
Here at Final Fantasy Forum Role Play we have several rules. Most of these can be followed, though, so do not expect much sympathy from us.
Rule #1: No being rude and instigating fights. This includes, but is not limited to: Flaming, Trolling, Baiting, Name-Calling, Religion Bashing, and Member Bashing. We will not allow this. To break this offense you will be dealt with upon investigation.
Rule #2: No meta-gaming. This includes, but is not limited to: Speaking with teammates/friends in OOC and doing no IC interaction before performing a plan you figured out OOC. This can be multiple things, but we will enforce it. Metagaming seeks to undermine the fun of Role playing and it not only makes things no fun for those that you are playing with, it makes the site, overall, a little less fun to play on.
Rule #3: Swearing is allowed, but not in excess. We are not an adult site, but we are also not a bunch of ten years olds. So, keep it at least in control. Is it in your character randomly to shout something due to Tourette's? That is fine. Just keep it within moderation, or you will be spoken to.
Rule #4: Sexual content that may arise with couples belongs off-site. Yes, we are a roleplay site, but we are also working with kids here. I do not want any kids reporting this forum for something sexual, so I must have this rule.
Rule #5: Do not cheat. While we are moderating an entire forum and grading posts, do not change your level or some how gain a material you been eyeing. YOU WILL BE CAUGHT AND YOU WILL BE BAN!
Rule #6: The CBox. We have that as a means of speaking with people on the site without having to have everyone on messenger. So, here are the rules for CBox:
a. No spamming.
b. No Religion bashing.
Rule #7: You are allowed, IC wise, to be in two places at once. This is how the system will work:
You can be in two threads, one being an event/quest or a RP somewhere, while still having your character in another thread. As of this time, it is unknown if this rule will stay in place.
Rule #8: Have fun. While you are playing a game here, you need to have a bit of fun. That is what the game is about. Not a serious rule, but it is the basis that I want this forum to go on.
Rule #9: All staff rulings are final. If you have a problem with how a situation was handled, do not bring it to other members. You will only cause a larger fight than is necessary. Staff rulings, whether it is on a matter of complaint or a matter of rule breaking, are almost always final. I say almost because things can be repealed and done differently, but will more than likely not. So, if we are being unfair, PM one of the administrators. That is all you can do. We will discuss it, as we all work closely together on the forum and come up with either another ruling, or just explain the current one.
Rule #10: All advertising must be done in the affiliate board. If you advertise a RPing site here, we reserve the right to deny it if you should not allow us to advertise on your site, as well. This rule will not change. Ever.
Rule #11: If in a battle thread(s).You cannot just go in there and attack someone. This is because its to avoid people complaining about being killed while in a middle of an attack, and then have them complain about it. And honestly, it’s unfair. This does not stop you do to do anything else. Like setting up defense, jumping in and push someone out of attack.
Rule #12: In time in between each posts are six seconds. You can have your character thinking about his/her next move. This includes, thinking ahead of time and how to do such action if he does this or that. If he counter this way and then you will do this.
Punishments
All punishments received will go as follow. We will not do these in order, as we may find a rule breaker who does something so belligerent towards the rules that deem a harder punishment.
1 - Warning. We PM you, tell you what you've done, and link you to said offense. If not linkable, then you will see none. We will give you a chance to speak, but this is just a warning, remember that.
2 - 33% Warning added to profile. This will be in effect for a period of time decided by staff on the offense. It is nothing more than a system of seeing who is falling out of line and how often they do it. It’s still a warning, but a public one. Also, this percentage varies on the offense.
3 - Temporary ban. Should you get that magical 100% on your warning meter, we will send you a message explaining what has happened and give all information, as well as links, to inform you of your wrongdoing. Temporary bans can range from 3 days to a week. We would discuss it in private, as staff, to determine a fair ruling.
4 - Permanent ban. You will be gone permanently. No re-dos, no do-overs. We will exert the right to do this only if necessary, but do not things us unlikely to do it. Anyone that is unhealthy for the forum will be removed.
Procedures
All warnings you receive through PM from anyone on our staff list are real. They are not a joke, because we don't have time to just send out PMs for the fun of it. Here is what PMs from us that are real will contain:
The offense, a link to the thread where the rules were broken, and a verbal warning from staff member.
That is how a warning in a PM will go. Now, if you see that you have a warning bar over your name, here's what you'll find if you look in your account notes on your account:
You will find the date of the offense, as well as who posted this warning. It'll also be listed when the warning will be lifted.
Any questions, as I'm sure there will be some, send 'em my way. I welcome all PMs
