Dino in the open field. (Kiena)

The sky was bright and the weather was perfectly warm. A perfect day for a stroll. If you think a stroll in the open field with monsters any. A small dinosaur stands in the open field. At first glance, it indeed looks like an average dinosaur. Something to be amazed. At a closer look you can see something wrong.

Its body shape what you would traditional think of a dinosaur. It body shape of Herrerasaurus. Being ten feet tall. It skin is mostly red and it body had a few parts had glowing white marks were placed in random it seems. His chest was attached to a metal armor plate. It claws were not normal claws. It claws were made of pure steel. Not only have their bodies been enhanced, but their IQ as well.

It didn't take her very long at all to find the mark. They were big creatures, these dinosaurs turned weapons, and she spotted the monstrosity long before she was close enough to do battle with it. Kiena didn't quite understand why ShinRa would let something like this happen. You'd think after all the time those scientists spent down in their basements, picking their brains, and testing out data, they may have realized that enhancing a monsters brain to teach them how to destroy locks might make them destroy the one on the cage enclosing them. Maybe it was only after the fact, but Kiena didn't see how that could be a notion so easily missed. Regardless, the fresh air was nice, the sun warm on her skin, and she took her time picking her way over to the dinosaur.

She honestly wished it was just as simple of telling it to go back to ShinRa but making it smarter didn't necessarily mean it wasn't stupid anymore and "obedience" was most likely thoughtless left out. Like much of this not well thought out plan of making weapons think. Reaching behind her, Kiena slid her greatsword from its sheathe, the sound sure to draw the beast's attention if those strange eyes weren't already eying her up as it's next meal. Kiena's strategy was mainly offensive, but she imagined it would be easier to the jump on a huge creature like this if she could get it's momentum moving, then slide out of the way. Besides, with its size, it could easily just roll over onto her and end the fight before it started. She'd let him have the first go, swinging her sword to gain its full attention and realize the threat. "C'mon, you stupid thing."

The Dino turned around and notice the female SOLDIER. It opens it mouth and let out a huge roar. It claws and fangs were out. Showing it all of its glory and danger. The spots on it body change too red. Heat started to build up in it mouth. A bright red color started to appear, and then a red stream of fire shoot out. This stream of fire went forward to the girl. Flames strong enough to almost burn the girl alive. It would wise to dodge the attack. Trying to block the attack would be foolish. The Dino tail started to swing back and forth, but for what reason? One thing for sure, nothing can come well out of it for the young girl. The Dino red eyes kept onto her. Never once leaving the girl out it sight. The girl was only prey to it. A meal for the Dino to eat and then move on.

Kiena's eyes flashed, recognizing what the beast was doing before it was halfway through performing it. Fire. Her knees bent legs tensing and she waited until its mouth was opening before she moved. Her momentum drove her forward, feeling the heat on her skin, but fortunatly no more than that. She'd avoided them. Her movements came to a quick halt, adjacent to the beast, and her wrist began to glow a dull green. The materia in her arm was activating, and she pulled it from the hilt of her sword, swinging it in front of her. From the sky, weak bolts shot downward, targeted solely on the dinosaur. Her face was a mask of determination and concentration. Hit, hit, hit. Her head chanted unconsciously.

She would not be its meal. Kiena brought her arm from across her chest back to Acheron. The weight was soothing, and she drew it back threateningly, conscious of its tail, of its every move. She wasn't a SOLDIER for nothing. Even if the bolts did little damage, it should be enough to agitate it. Kiena didn't think she stood a chance against something so big unless she could get it moving just a little. Standing still, it was able to keep an eye on her every move and its tail was long enough to bat her away like a fly if she got to close.

The dino head gotten zapped and for a moment is stagger the dinosaur. The dino moved it down enough for it little arms to rub its head. Once it had enough massaging its head, the dino looks back up at the girl and gave another loud roar. It was not amused. The dino would charge at the girl and once it had gotten three meters to her, the dinosaur jumps into the air and then send down it powerful feet onto the young SOLDIER girl. These feet would crush her and break many of her bones. But, if the girl was somehow able to dodge this attack, the dino spots on it body would change brown. The dino whip it tail toward the girl with a stream of rocks being five feet wide.

Materia: Dino Quake: From moving it tail and activate it spots on it body. The dino sends out a stream of rocks toward the opponent. Being five wide and these rocks are fairly small, but can do some consider amounts of damage.

Kiena frowned. She could sense this would be a bit longer than she had expected. Tightening her grip on her sword's hilt, she watched the creature launch itself off the ground. She took a deep breath, waiting. Waiting. Waiting. The bend in Kiena's legs shot her under the monster. She was fast, quicker than the average, and she ran for all she was worth, knowing that if she stopped, she'd be caught under his feet or in the shockwave. It's feet hit the ground and she felt it, the first tremor causing her to push off the ground herself. She twisted around in mid-air, sword poised at her side. However, it didn't go as planned. She was shocked to see it had thought ahead. Kiena barely had time to draw her greatsword before her chest to block the stone drilling straight toward her.

She grunted as the force of the rubble knocked her back. Kiena flinched, feeling her back hit the ground. Goddammit. She was on her feet again in a few seconds, face pulled into angry determination. She'd been knocked on her ass by a damn dinosaur. Her eyes swept over the dinosaur - was it changing color? - and she ran toward it, charging. She wouldn't be stuck here all day. Kiena had better things to do. A few feet away, she launched herself into the air again, this time, much higher. She cast Bolt again, not focusing so much on aim this time. She was more worried about where her sword landed. She drew it back, then down before her, aiming for the beast's fleshy side.

[Genocide]

The dino body was starting to rot. Its life span time little was coming to a close. Its vision was losing it. It was getting blurry and seeing double. It watched the young SOLDIER girl charged at it. It send out it claws to strike, but it had miss. For the girl jumped out of the way and into the air. It felt a lightning attack on it lower back and then a sword cut on it side of it body. The cut was more deep than the SOLDIER girl had thought. It had hit one of major organ in it body. The blood of the dino smeared on her blood. The dino fellt on it side. It eyes went to the back of it head and mouth open. The dino tongue hang out of it mouth on it side. A large pool of blood would spread around the dino.

Kiena was prepared to have to force her sword through the skin to pierce anything vital. Her balance was thrown off immensely when it slid deep into the creature like butter. Her eyes widened, feet coming down to try and catch herself on it's side. The rotting skin gave way under her feet, and she did nothing more than tear it as she slid off of it. But Kiena wasn't a SOLIDER for nothing. With her dwindling platform, she pushed off, pulling Acheron out of the beast and flipping backwards. She landed a bit clumsily from the unevenness of the ground. Her eyes never left the beast. She was shocked that it had gone down so easily.

Her shoulders relaxed and she stared as the light went out in the monsters eyes. Really? Really? This was the great problem? Kiena exhaled a bit huffily, slinging Acheron over her shoulder and approaching the dead dinosaur. No wonder civilians had signed up. Kiena tried not to think about the fact that she'd been knocked on her ass by something so weak. Instead, she stopped beside the fiend, swinging her sword down and once again sliding it into the flesh. It was a sloppy cut, fortunate as well. Kiena was not familiar with the anatomy of a goddamn dinosaur. The heart drooled out of its chest behind a great lump of muscle and blood and flesh. Making a face, she retrieved it from the ground, holding it far to the side as she made her way back to report her success.
