Myra walked arm and arm with Jin, winking at a couple of men staring at her. She knew this low cut dress was perfect. Maybe it would be enough to make Jin jealous so he would pay attention to her more often. He never knew how to treat a real woman! Myra looked at the drinks and picked out the most expensive one. “I want this one, Jin, Darling.” She smiled at him, giving him an innocent smile, but enough to show that she was doing this out of spite. Jin loved his hard earned money, but Myra didn’t care. He was neglecting her, and that made her angry. She wanted expensive gifts so that she knew that she had his attention. She knew how to play with Jin’s mind and toy with him. That was what made being married to him fun. “Also, I would like a new purse,” she added. “I don’t like the ones at home. I want a gold one with a red satin finish. Maybe even a couple of diamonds sewn into it.”

"Hell I was until you showed up!" Vicks snickered sarcastically. "I'm just joking, its been OK. I don't usually come to things like this."
He paused and took a cigarette out of the pack of his baggy blue trousers. He slowly lit it with a teal lighter and inhaled the smoke into his lungs. Vicks courteously tilted his chin back and blew it above his head, keeping it out of the faces of the crowds. He didn't know Manuel very well, but he didn't really know anyone since he had been detached from his unit in Junon, so he was glad to have company.
"You smell like a keg, how much have you been drinking?" Vicks said grinning.

Jin walked into the bar with Myra. Myra arm was still around Jin’s. Her soft skin was comforting Jin a little and keeping his mood high. The bar was lively and a bit loud from all of the chatter. Jin was used to this from all of the bars he had been too before. The air stuffy and smell like cigarettes.
Few of the other men in the bar showed some interest into Myra. “That damn low cut dress of hers,”[/b] Jin thought to himself. The faces stop looking at Myra once they realizes who she was with. Jin pick out a few seats in the bar, but stopped himself once he saw Myra was already picking the drinks.
Myra of course, was picking out the most expensive wine in the whole bar! Jin had wish Myra would know better on spending and learn how to handle money more. Jin had nod to her and let her pick out the wine. The bar tender reaches out and grabs the wine bottle. He gently picks it on the table and grabbed two glass.
He filled up the glass cups with blood red wine. Jin reach out and grabbed the glass. He took it to lips and tasted the crimson color liquid. He drank it all the way without leaving a single drop. “Your lucky today I’m in a good mood, Myra.”

"I don't recall, I seem to have lost a little time in between drinks." Manuel said only half joking. The ball fell to the counter, not because Manuel was done with it, but it seemed to have missed his hand. Manuel wrote it off as the wind and no fault of his own. Vicks was a more traditional member of the police force, as it appeared to Manuel. Obviously he had the usual rivalry feeling with SOLDIER as the rest of the force. Manuel saw no problem with it, he wasn't that interested in soldier.
Manuel watched as Vicks puffed on his cigarette, nodding his head slightly requesting to bum a smoke off of him. It wasn't Manuel's habit to smoke, but he felt like he needed something to occupy his hands at the moment. Seeing as how the ball was not an option, too much wind Manuel assured himself once more, it might as well be time for another smoke. "So you transfered here right? I never really found out where you came from."

She stuck her nose up at him. “Well, I won’t be in a good mood until I get a new purse.” She played with the whine. “I don’t like it. I want something else to drink instead.” Who knew something expensive would taste terrible? It was like the time she had that caviar. Not worth the price. The problem with Jin was how boring he was. He wasn’t into the kinky things she was into, and he certainly wasn’t the type to do anything spontaneous. She wanted something more out of life. Still, he had a lot of money. At least he was good for something. “Jin, Darling, I’m hungry now. I would like something to eat.” She had to make sure her girly figure stayed in shape, but that didn’t mean she had to starve herself. Besides, she loved exotic foods… expensive foods.

Vicks held back a laugh at Manuel's lack of motor control, he picked the ball up himself and mirrored what he had been doing before. "Oh sure thing" Vicks replied to Manuels gesture, he slid his hand back into his pocket and handed him a smoke. He raised the lighter up to light it for him.
"Oh me?" Vicks said as he took in another drag from his cigarette. "I am originally from Sector 7 but I was stationed in Junon. Its way nicer than the slums, but home is home I guess..." He paused, again puffing his smoke, it was about a quarter smoked. "What brought you to Midgar?" he asked.

Manuel accepted the light and began blowing his smoke upwards. Vicks talked highly of Junon, Manuel wouldn't know about that, he had never been. The slums were most of what he knew about and people, including himself, didn't think it was that great a place to be. Vicks had picked up the ball and was mocking, or so it seemed to Manuel. Manuel smirked at Vicks as the ball kept it's beat, going up and down up and down.
"I lived there ever since I could remember, sector 1 tough but I made it through. Got in to Shinra for a living, but I hope to make it up the ranks eventually." Manuel looked around at the game booths, wondering if there was anything he could win at. Aiming wasn't his strong suit, but while he was here Manuel might as well try the balls. Manuel threw down some gil and gathered some balls. "Let's see if I can make it up to you for making you lose."

Vicks listened to Manuel and nodded.
"I've been in sector one before, never held a job there though... I worked mostly in secotr 6 and 7 doing odd jobs." Vicks said, briefly reminising of his times as a dishboy in the wall market.
Manuel seemed to want to play a game and Vicks was bored, he nodded at him slightly and smoked his cigarette down to the middle. A young woman walking through the crowd looked very strange to him, she had strange garments on that made her stand out to him as someone not from the area.
"Is that a festivle worker?" Vicks asked, gesturing at Lillet. "I've never seen anyone with clothes like that before."

Manuel fumbled the balls when Vicks had pointed to Lillet, obviously she had wanted to get out of the slums of midgar but, Manuel didn't expect to see her again so soon. The festival must of drawn her attention after she left Midgar, and since she was searching for something, she had no clues about, exploring everywhere would be best. "Huh, wonder what Lillet is doing out here?" Manuel spoke out loud, "I met her in Midgar wandering in the slums alone. I don't think she would be working on the festival staff."
Manuel wasn't upset to see her, actually it was good to see her out of the slums and exploring the world. She must of been drawn here by the festivities, and the T-Rex was pretty hard to miss too. Manuel wasn't sure if he wanted to meet her again while he had just got out of a bar, so he acted rather oblivious while he leaned against the counter.

‘Steady... Steady...’ Lillet thought with her eyes glued to the dartboard in front of her. It hadn’t taken her long to find a game that drew her attention. The game she had set her sights on was trying to stick three darts in the center of a small dartboard. This was Lillet’s third dart. Her first two throws hadn’t been horrible, but they weren’t dead center either. It had been a long time since Lillet had last played darts. She was a bit rusty. Her hand moved back and forth in front of her, trying to line up a shot for her final throw. With a flick of her wrist, Lillet let her third dart fly. Bullseye!
“We have a winner!” yelled the man behind the counter before handing the girl a stuffed prize. A grin graced Lillet’s face as she examined what she won. It was a teddy bear that was about as big as Lillet’s head. The teddy bear was made of a soft, black fabric. A floppy white bow was tied loosely around its neck, and matching white buttons were sewn on for the eyes. It definitely looked like something Kirielle would like.
Lillet fastened the bear to one of the belts that was crossed over her hips. That was fun, and now she had a nice little gift to send home to her little sister. It was definitely a nice break from wandering through the slums. As the girl’s eyes wandered through the crowd, she came across a familiar face at a different game across the street. ‘Wait a second. Isn’t that...’ Lillet’s thoughts trailed off as she looked closer in the man’s direction. It was! There was no doubt about it; that was Manuel. Who would have thought that they would be crossing paths so soon after they met in market?
Lillet waved at Manuel from afar before weaving through the crowd in his direction.

Manuel had been watching Lillet out of the corner of his eye, for awhile. Apparently she was playing darts at a game across the way, and she was concentrating pretty intently. The man behind the counter shouted "We have a winner!". The prize looked like a bear, and Lillet looked at it contently. I guess she does like stuffed animals, Manuel had thought. She had turned around and spotted him in the crowd, waving happily as she walked through the seemingly endless stream of people in the streets.
Manuel smiled back at her as he straightened up, "Sir are you going to play or not?" came a voice from behind Manuel's shoulder. "Oh yeah the game." Manuel picked up a ball and aimed carefully at the bottles, set up on the stands behind the booth. Winding up Manuel threw his first ball and nailed...the wall behind the bottles...awesome, great start Manuel thought. Manuel turned back to see if Lillet had seen him miss, there was a very small chance she missed it.
Manuel took a breath and threw out another ball, again missing the bottles...Manuel was obviously not having very much luck today...then again...it was probably the wind. The third ball simply nicked the bottles, resulting in an epic fail by Manuel. Whatever, Lillet was here, "Lillet, what are you doing here?" Manuel said cheerfully.

"Well their goes the neighborhood" Vicks thought to himself. He quickly put his helmet back on. Vicks felt safer with it on, because truth be told most of the women he had come across growing up where tramps from the Honey Bee. The gold diggers in Junon hadn't been a big upgrade from them either.
He puffed at his cigarrette, now almost gone. He wished that it would have lasted longer because it would have been another excuse for his silence. He wondered if Manuel was to intoxicated to realize that he himself was still smoking and probably going to blow smoke in the girls face.
He chuckled at the thought, and crossed his arms with a nervous smirk.

Lillet stifled a chuckle as she watched Manuel attempt to knock the bottles over. It didn’t look like he was very good at those games. At least he wasn’t some stick in the mud that refused to play such games in the first place. She knew plenty of people like that back home.
“Oh, not much. I just thought it would be a good idea to get out of Midgar for a little while; having that huge plate always hanging over my head was driving me insane. The festival seemed like a good opportunity for that,” Lillet explained. She fanned the cigarette smoke away from her face as she talked.
Lillet’s eyes were drawn to the man that was standing with Manuel who had just put his helmet on. She flashed him a smile. “Friend of yours?”

Manuel had completely forgotten about the cigarette he had in his hand. Quickly realizing his mistake, Manuel flicked it to the ground and stomped it out, "Umm, sorry about that." Manuel apologized, he didn't think he was still drunk, he was pretty sure he had sobered up on the way here. Whatever the case he seemed fine now. "Ahh, yes this is Corporal Vicks. We were just getting to know each other actually. Vicks this is Lillet, she came from Mideel."
Manuel wasn't sure why Vicks had put his helmet back on, unless he was on duty, there was no reason to wear it. Whatever the reason Manuel wrote it off as an odd personality quirk and moved on. Manuel gave them time to exchange pleasantries before speaking again "Like stuffed animals do you?" Manuel asked pointing to the bear clipped onto Lillet's belt.

"Nice to meet you." Vicks said. It probably would have been polite for him to extend his hand for a handshake but instead he kept his arms crossed against his chest. He smiled back at Lillet, although he had not intended to. Something about other people smiling made him do it himself, a personal trait of his that always annoyed him.
Vicks didn't know what else to say. He leaned against the milk jug stand and put his cigarette out, slowly dragging it across the ground. The air around him smelled of a thick aroma of food. He hadn't eaten lunch yet and his stomach softly growled.
"...Would you two like to go have something to eat?" He asked as pointed at his wrist watch.

“It’s nice to meet you too Corporal Vicks,” Lillet replied, unsure of whether or not she should address him as Corporal Vicks or not. Just because Manuel called him Vicks didn’t mean he wanted everyone else to do the same. Besides, being polite was never a bad thing.
Lillet looked down to where Manuel was pointing. “You mean this thing?” she asked. The girl unhooked the stuffed teddy bear from her belt and held it up in front of her. “Actually I was planning on sending it to my sister in Mideel. She gets lonely easily. I thought that maybe if I sent home souvenirs from my travels she wouldn’t feel so bad.” Lillet sighed as she hooked the stuffed bear back to her belt. She hoped Kirielle was alright. She had thrown a big fit when Grandma had announced that Lillet needed to leave Mideel and go see the world. Lillet couldn’t exactly blame her either. It’s not like they had much family left.
The girl’s eyes lit up at the mention of food. “Sure. That sounds like a great idea,” Lillet answered with an enthusiastic nod of her head.

Manuel slightly suprised look at Lillet's face she had a sister back home? No wonder she seemed so nice. Manuel had often wondered what it would be like to have a sibling especially a younger one. He had been with other kids on the street before, but never really felt any connection to them. It wasn't like any of them would like a stuffed bear, but it was a sweet thought to send something to her lonely sister.
Manuel had already eaten, but he was never one to pass up food. Hopefully they could find somewhere better than Manuel had, seeing as how he didn't think it would be somewhere Lillet would want to be for too long. "Sure food would be nice.". Still no action today, but maybe that was a good thing, it was nice to settle down for awhile and just relax with friends.
"So Vicks did you have any place in mind?" Manuel was unsure how much looking around Vicks had been able to do after his shift.

"Oh, just call me Duncan when i'm not working." Vicks replied to Lillet's greeting. He overheard a mention of Mideel, somewhere he had never heard of before. He would have to look it up in an atlas at some point.
"Their is a place that is selling exotic meals from Wutai about a block down... their is also an outdoor venue selling foods from Costa Del Sol that smelled pretty appetizing." Vicks said. "Its up to you guys though, i'm sure there are other good places we could go."
Duncan shrugged, and waited for them to make a suggestion. He would have been fine eating some local crap, but he suspected they would appreciate something other than Midgar cooking.

“Okay, Duncan it is,” Lillet said as she gave Duncan a thumbs up. She was a bit relieved that she didn’t have to refer to him formally. It’s not like she minded too much, but her habits from living in such a small town would have probably kicked in eventually. Lillet was still used to only speaking to visitors to Mideel like that, but now the roles were reversed. Now SHE was the outsider.
Wutai and Costa Del Sol? Lillet had only read about those places; the girl had never actually been to either of them, so she hadn’t been able to sample their cuisine. There wasn’t anything specific that she felt like eating right now either. “I don’t mind where we eat. I’m not picky, as long as the food isn't isn’t spicy,” Lillet finally answered. She had absolutely no tolerance for spicy food. It burnt her tongue and thoroughly messed up her digestive system. Other than that, anything Duncan or Manuel wanted would probably be fine with her.

Duncan? Manuel quite prefered Vicks, sounded more...unique, but whatever Duncan wanted was fine with Manuel. It turned out they had two options, exotic food from Wutai, and Costa Del Sol. Manuel had never had either so it sounded like neither of the other two had a preference. "Leavin it up to me then? Alright, how about Del Sol? Might as well try something new right?" Someone had to make a decision and since neither of them cared Manuel figured it was fine.
It looked like they were holding up buisness for the game booth, "Either way we should probably move.". Manuel felt like finding out more about both of these people.

"Some of the food is spicy. They sell a lot of hand food; tacos, ribs, clams, fish, shrimp. I'm sure they will have something you guys will like." Vicks responded.
Vicks signaled the group to follow him, he walked through a sea of people; from ragged peasants to Shinra's rich elite. A gust of wind blew through, knocking prizes off the stands and cooling the area off. Most of the buildings here had two stories, and the Costa Delicious was set up at an old single story bar wedged between two houses. Inside was shabby and worn down, but it was alive with people eating and drinking. Decorative surf boards were mounted on the wall, as well as pin up posters of models wearing bikinis and speedos.
Duncan walked in, trying his best not to laugh at the ridiculous voice of someone singing into a karaoke machine in the back corner.
"Three please!" Duncan told the hostess, who smiled and greeted them. She gestured for them to follow a waitress, who then seated them.
